I don't think that has happened, but the Church seems to fear it will. I remember when I was an active, struggling member and how depressed and suicidal I felt. Now that I've stepped away from the church, my vision is much, much more clear and my life is much, much more peaceful.Max Powerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955796304197971564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4956057989227103850.post-77801132143337982442009-11-19T03:38:41.053-06:002009-11-19T03:38:41.053-06:00Ive read your blog a few times over the last year ...Ive read your blog a few times over the last year or so and every time I come back you get more and more pessimistic. I honestly can't believe you would think it was just a PR stunt. You obviously aren't happy with the church and you are letting it cloud your vision.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4956057989227103850.post-5226035274812190312009-11-18T13:47:15.744-06:002009-11-18T13:47:15.744-06:00I still think we can't really judge "inte...I still think we can't really judge "intentions" from public actions. Everybody accusing the LDS Church of insincerity in this instance all agree that the LDS Church actually did the right thing. Maybe we should be happy with that, and call it a day.

My own post on this subject I acknowledged disappointment that the Church felt obligated to reaffirm their John Gustav-Wrathallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03557940681381951271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4956057989227103850.post-29341330774848320332009-11-17T21:45:19.062-06:002009-11-17T21:45:19.062-06:00I quite agree, Abe. Of course, Church leaders have gone a-politicking before (during the Wilson years Salt Lake was publicly split over the idea of the League of Nations)...but as you pointed out, such forays into the swamp inevitably muddy the adventurer.Frank Lee Scarlethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11886437307154426730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4956057989227103850.post-49389510558015928012009-11-17T11:01:21.594-06:002009-11-17T11:01:21.594-06:00That statement was by my good friend Fred Karger o...That statement was by my good friend Fred Karger of californiansagainsthate.comMax Powerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955796304197971564noreply@blogger.com
