Off the bench
Yeah!
I am now off the bench, and feeling much better about myself.
Although, these are difficult times. My new assignment is only for 6 months; so, I could find myself back where I was - but I'm not going to think about that right now :)
[sigh] I wish, I'd probably break my neck if I tried to jump that high doing a heel click :(
Plus that person has black hair and I'm a blond (plus, I'm older, fatter, not as good looking, etc. - but we'll just stick with the difference in hair color)
Was glad to hear your good news. As men we derive so much of our personal value and meaning from our employment.
I've been unemployed just a couple of times in my career. They were both very difficult, discouraging times. I was feeling for you last week and was relieved to see you have a new project.
Even if you stay on the bench sometime or have to find something new I'm sure you will land on your feet. I have found those changes to be painful but, always have found that the change was good and for a reason.
Anyway, glad you are feeling relieved and back in the groove.
