Blog makeover
As anyone who frequents this blog will notice, I've been playing with the new blog templates. Let me know what you think. I'm looking for some honest critique here - I'm a big boy, don't be afraid to tell me if you hate it, or some aspect of it.
I think your blog should be whatever YOU want it to be. :)
(That said, the background is a bit distracting, but your posts are still easy to find and read.)
Have fun with your new blog designs. (There are tons of other templates, also, at pyzam, but if you use one of their templates, you may lose your widgets and any other spiffy things you have used on your blog.)
Why pink? At the risk of sounding cliché, I actually like bright colors, including pink. You should see some of the shirts I like to wear - I'm sure many in the MoHo community would consider me a fashion disaster :)
Is it too girlie? I don't know. I've been trying to figure out how I could use one of my own images to use as a background with the new blog templates. I have one of a field of bluebonnets I took earlier this year that I thought might look nice.
Until then, I may experiement with different backgrounds and color schemes.
Sorry! The part on the left kind of does though, doesn't it?
I really like the new things blogger is doing with templates. And I like how you're playing around with it.
If you can figure out how to make your own, go for it! Your blog is uniquely yours, so make a background that belongs only to you.
I've been playing around with templates and images on my running blog for some time. My personal blog went extinct in January (don't feel like I've abandoned y'all...I just didn't feel like I was getting any value from it anymore [how selfish of me, right?]), but I used to play around with using my own images on that, just for the title. That way I could feel like it was mine.
Basically, have fun. And blog selfishly. You really only have yourself to please.

An eye popper. I like it! Big improvement.
It's way much better than the previous one...
but, why pink? Is there any particular reason your theme always has pinky background?
Joned
i like it :)
Honestly, looks quite girly with the pink palette.
I like it, except that it makes the sidebar text harder to read

Happy day!
It looks like an old blood-stained bandage to me.
