Hey look, I am one of those little dots in Utah...

The reason why I read your blog is because it is raw (full of truth, emotion, experiences, and everything)! There are so many things that I love about it. I think that you are doing a great job with your blog. It always keeps me coming back for more. I really enjoy your poems and more personal posts (like your last one). Like I said on my last comment, you're freakin' amazing!

YAY FIREFOX!!!!!!

We need more recipe swapping.

And more pink. We could always use more pink in our lives. And lavender.

Hi 'Abe,'
I'm reading your blog with interest because it's real, without veneer. You're diving into things that are still kind of in the closet for me and I wouldn't feel comfortable talking about in my own space. And I'm checking out your blog because we introduced ourselves last year through the LDSSSA Yahoo Group, and I was intrigued with the similarities of our personal histories. And I'm still wondering how you're doing. Just recently I opened a blog to begin to explore with others the issues we commonly struggle with. Thanks for all your effort; your blog is super.

1. I don't remember whether I found you first through L's blog or through a comment you left on my blog.
2. I was just telling FoxyJ yesterday that I like your blog because you are usually very respectful of other people.
3. Nothing comes to mind.
4. Nope.
5. Nope.
6. I'm reading from Seattle, in case you're keeping track. And I use Firefox.

1. I think I found you through the great -L- and his links on his blog.

2. I like your photos. I like your sense of humor. I like the way you are "real". I like your list of links. I like that you reach out to the community at large, including those outside the LDS church. And I like that you seek a connection particularly with those who are younger who may be dealing with issues that you had to deal with as well.

3. Nothing.

4. More of the real Abelard... more of your sense of humor... more of your photos... more of who you are as a person.

5. Nothing.

6. You have become a great friend and I appreciate your priceless voice in this community. Thanks for blogging and sharing and being YOU!

I really like your blog because we seem to have a lot in common: about the same age, empty nesters, similar religious background (non-LDS though), and this SSA thing. Plus we lived in Texas and think of retiring there someday. I found yours through the other LDS SSA blogs; I wish there were some from an evangelical background, but haven't found many - maybe I should start one, but I'm too in the closet. I really like you inciting discussion, but I'm not a big fan of the poems (no offense meant, it's just not my thing). And that's just the point - it's your blog, so you should do what you want to.

That brings up another question: Am I too Mormon-y?

I'm not a big fan of the poems

No offense taken

btw, feel free to email me privately if you have anything in particular you would like to ask/say/discuss/etc.
