Garlic

Last night I made 40 clove chicken for dinner - which is chicken baked with 40 cloves of garlic. I used Alton Brown's recipe from Good Eats. It was pretty simple to make and quite delicious to eat.

This morning I have gas - and my farts smell like garlic.

I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I used dried thyme instead of fresh thyne. I added some whole peeled potatoes in with the chicken. Plus I used all chicken breasts since I'm not much of a leg or thigh man; although, I used bone-in/skin-on chicken breasts because I think they taste better than the boneless skinless variety.

Being an aficionado of 40-clove chicken, I can tell you that you're going to smell of garlic for the next 3 days. But isn't it TASTY?! Well worth the 4 days of smelling like you've been basted in Garlic. If everyone in the house eats it, you become immune to the smell. :D

Plus, it's Halloween. Unlike most, I don't have to worry about vampires :)

I can't even get near to garlic if I want to come home and live in the same room (don't even talk about in the same bed) with my wife. Have you noticed how almost every restaurant uses garlic - and not 40 cloves either?

Though it tastes good at the moment, it just lingers too long and makes me thirsty... but a sure way to get out of romance for the evening unless both of us consume those tasty nuggets of afterglow.

Miki actually likes that smell on me...it's as good as cologne. I don't know why--she's my weird little wife, and I love her.

I must live down wind from you. I thought I smelled garlic from somewhere on my morning run.
