You think WE have problems?

You think it's hard being gay and Mormon?

I saw this in an article titled "Are You Normal or Nuts?" in the June 2007 issue of "Readers Digest"
Q I hate choosing things. When I grab a spoon out of the drawer, I have a hard time picking one, even though they're all the same. Then, when I finally choose a spoon, I feel bad for all the others. I even sort of apologize to them: "Sorry, guys, Next time!" Is this weird?

ROFL! That is the funniest thing I have ever heard! I don't think that my problems can even compare to that man's problems. What to do, what to do...

I saw a show a while back about a shy guy who was suffering from Never-Nudism.

It's exactly what it sounds like.

please tell me that the answer to that from Reader's Digest was "Go seek help from a mental-health professional."

I used to do that, for the record. I also would eat everything on my plate just because I thought all the food I didn't eat would feel really bad just being thrown out. "All I ever wanted was to be eaten," would go through my head at every meal.

Luckily, I've gotten over that. It was probably a little easier than your guys' problems, since I grew out of it after a year or two. P:

A year or two? Uh-huh. ;)

For those of us who watched American Idol this season, Melinda does similarly - if she touches something cold with one hand, she has to touch something cold with the other; if she steps on a crack with one foor, she has to do it with the other. For her it's an obsessive-compulsive thing attached to balance. I think I have the same basic inclination, but I usually just dismiss it as silly. :P

O.o I don't even know what to say to that... She felt sorry for a piece of metal? Weird...
